Job Title: Cash Officer
Location: Benin City, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
The Cash Officer is responsible for receiving, processing, recording, safeguarding, and accounting for all cash and other approved payment transactions received.
Key Accountabilities
- Cash Collection and Payment Processing:
- Process approved payments through authorised channels, including cash, POS, bank transfers, and other electronic payment platforms.
- Receive cash payments from patients, clients, and other authorised payers for services rendered.
- Verify payment confirmations before acknowledging electronic transfers or other non-cash payments.
- Ensure that payments correspond with the services billed and the amounts approved for collection.
- Issue official receipts for every payment received in accordance with Vidapharmacyprocedures.
- Provide accurate payment information to patients and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ensure that all payments received are accurately recorded in the appropriate system or register.
- Qualification and Experience
- A degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an added advantage.
- At least one to two years of relevant experience in cash handling, cashiering, revenue collection, or financial operations.
- Minimum of an OND, NCE, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- High level of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Proficient in excel
- Accuracy in cash counting and payment processing.
