We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Checker
Location: Kogi
Key Responsibilities
- Report discrepancies immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow company procedures relating to stock accountability and warehouse operations.
- Monitor loading and unloading activities where assigned.
- Maintain accurate records of checked and dispatched goods.
- Assist with stock counting and physical verification.
- Ensure proper handling of products during dispatch.
- Ensure the correct products are loaded for each customer or sales representative.
- Ensure that no unauthorized product leaves the warehouse.
- Identify shortages, excesses, damaged products, or discrepancies.
- Verify products before they leave the warehouse or distribution point.
- Check product quantities against invoices, loading sheets, and dispatch documents.
- Confirm that loaded products correspond with approved documentation.
- Support periodic stock-taking exercises.
Requirements
- FMCG/distribution experience is preferred.
- Must be reliable and physically capable of performing assigned duties.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain accountability.
- Previous experience as a Checker, Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role is an advantage.
- Good numerical and observational skills.
- Minimum of HND or B.Sc.
