We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head, Business Banking
Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of commercial banking products, value-added services, and marketplace solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve product delivery and customer experience.
- Oversee collections strategies to improve repayment performance and reduce portfolio risks.
- Develop and execute business banking strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing business banking teams.
- Monitor performance against deposit, revenue, lending, and profitability targets.
- Build strategic partnerships to expand business offerings and market reach.
- Drive customer acquisition and portfolio growth across SMEs, merchants, and mid-market businesses.
Requirements
- Experience in digital banking, payments, value-added services, or financial inclusion is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of cooperative finance and Nigeria’s community banking ecosystem is desirable.
- Strong understanding of credit management, collections, and financial analysis.
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in commercial, corporate, or SME banking.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- An MBA or relevant master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Proven experience in business development, sales leadership, and portfolio management.
