Job Title: Account Receivable Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to manage customer accounts, monitor outstanding payments, ensure timely collection of receivables, and maintain accurate records of all sales and customer transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements of account.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and proper documentation of transactions.
- Record and allocate customer payments accurately.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile sales records with customer payments and bank statements.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with customers to ensure timely payments.
- Support month-end closing, financial reporting, and audit exercises.
- Monitor overdue accounts and escalate collection challenges when necessary.
- Maintain an up-to-date accounts receivable ledger and ageing report.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong numerical, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, credit control, and debt collection.
