The financial manager will be responsible for managing and handling the financial activities and reports of the company.
The ideal candidate must be currently working with a financial institution and must possess a deep understanding of financial modeling and the ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing long-term financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with corporate objectives and market trends
- Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and present insights to the executive team.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor liquidity and manage investment strategies to optimize company capital.
- Strategic Growth: Analyze market trends and competitor data to identify opportunities for expansion or cost-saving.
- Team Leadership: Oversee accounting/accounts payable/receivable teams and foster a culture of professional development.
- Risk Management: Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations while maintaining robust internal controls.
- developing and enhancing internal reporting processes.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide monthly/quarterly rolling forecasts.
- Academic Qualification & Required Experience
- BankOne Accounting Software knowledge is mandatory
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree with a 2:1 in Accounting or Finance with 6+ years of continuous experience in finance and 2 years in a managerial position within a banking or financial or Audit Consulting sector
- Knowledge of the use of the bank One core application is an added advantage
- Experience in building and maintaining financial models and driving business decision support
- Advanced level of business and commercial acumen
- Good use of Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Bankone.
- Sound financial presentation method.
- Relevant professional qualification in ICAN, ACCA is compulsory
- A master's degree in accounting or finance is an added advantage
- Must be currently working with a financial or banking institution
- A proven track record of using data to solve complex business problems.
