The successful candidate will lead the kitchen team and oversee the preparation and presentation of a diverse intercontinental menu.
Key Responsibilities
- Create menus and specials while maintaining variety and quality.
- Minimise food wastage and control kitchen costs.
- Manage food costing, portion control, inventory, and kitchen supplies.
- Work effectively in a professional and fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Lead and manage the kitchen team and daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff.
- Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Minimum of 5 to 8yrs as a chef with atleast 2years in supervisory role
- Develop, execute, and maintain high-quality intercontinental menus.
- Demonstrate strong practical knowledge of dishes such as Beef Tenderloin/Steak, Grilled or Seared Salmon, Lobster Thermidor, Seafood Risotto, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Chicken Piccata, Lasagna, Spaghetti Bolognese, Beef Stroganoff, Paella, Fish & Chips, Caesar Salad, Caprese Salad, and gourmet burgers.e.t.c
- Education Requirements
- Professional culinary qualifications or recognised chef certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of an HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Catering, Food Production, or a related field.
