Job descriptions & requirements
Key Accountabilities
- Sell day-old chicks in volume every month and own your monthly sales target.
- Sell feed, vaccines, veterinary drugs and other inputs to the same buyers across each production cycle.
- Find and win new buyers: poultry farmers, commercial farms, cooperatives and agro-dealers.
- Generate leads through calls, WhatsApp, referrals, farm visits, markets and poultry associations.
- Turn leads into paid orders: quote, negotiate within approved pricing, close and follow up.
- Keep customers buying again and win back customers who have stopped ordering.
- Build and manage a pipeline of named buyers with expected order dates and volumes.
- Work with Operations so every order is delivered on time and in good condition.
- Keep accurate sales records and send daily and weekly reports.
Requirements
- At least 2 years selling poultry or agricultural inputs (day-old chicks, feed, veterinary drugs or similar).
- A track record of meeting sales targets that you can show in numbers.
- Existing relationships with poultry farmers, cooperatives, agro-dealers or hatcheries.
- Able to prospect, negotiate, and close sales on your own, by phone, on WhatsApp and in the field.
- Good record-keeping and comfort with smartphone reporting.
- Willing to travel to farms and markets regularly.
- Experience at a hatchery, feed mill, or veterinary drug distributor; a qualification in animal science or agriculture; your own means of transport.
