Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Osisioma Aba, Abia

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports to: Plant / Operations Manager

Job Summary

Take full ownership of daily production at the Aba plant — man, machine, material, output. Your job is to deliver quality products on time, at target cost, with a zero-downtime culture.

Key Accountabilities

  • Machines & Maintenance:
  • Keep mold register, machine logbook, downtime tracker
  • Work with maintenance team on preventive maintenance — no reactive firefighting
  • Manage injection molding, blow molding, extrusion machines
  • Quality & Process:
  • Zero tolerance for short-weight, poor quality or off-spec products
  • Enforce SOPs — material mixing ratio, heating temperature, cycle time
  • Ensure first-off approval, in-line QC, weight & thickness control
  • People & Factory Discipline:
  • Lead over 200 production staff — operators, mixers, packers — across shifts
  • Daily toolbox meeting, shift handover, discipline, attendance
  • Train operators on machine handling and safety
  • Materials & Cost:
  • Track resin consumption per kg of product — report variance daily
  • Control regrind usage within approved %

  • Weekly report to Plant Manager — efficiency, cost, issues

Requirements

  • Lives in Aba or willing to relocate — must have a factory-first mindset
  • B.Eng / HND in Mechanical, Polymer, Chemical, Industrial Engineering — or equivalent factory experience
