The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) was established as a non-residential multi-campus institution. On its establishment, the University, which was conceived on a Presidential model after Harvard University made impressive landmarks and stamped its name as the first University of Technology and first State University in Nigeria, had its main campus at Enugu. Other campuses that were created later were located at Abakaliki, Awka and Nnewi. At inception, only three faculties namely, Engineering, Science and Technology were established at the two functional campuses at Enugu and Awka.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant academic position below:
Job Title: Professor (Cyber Security)
Location: Ebeano, Enugu
Specific Requirements
Academic Qualifications: First Degree, Master's degree, and a PhD in the program/department of your choice from a recognized university.
Years of Experience: A minimum of 12 years of cognate teaching, research, and administrative experience in a recognized university, including at least 2 years in the rank of a reader/associate professor.
Administrative Experience: The candidate must have served in any of the following capacities:
Head of department
Dean of faculty,
Director or any university committee.
Professional Licence / Registration: Registration with the relevant regulatory body, where applicable (e.g., COREN, MDCN, ICAN, NDA, TRCN, etc.).
General Requirements
Prospective candidates for the ranks of Professor, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I and Lecturer II must have the following requirements:
Registration /license with the relevant regulatory body, where applicable.
Sworn age declaration or birth certificate, and Local Government Identification.
Evidence of scholarly publications in journals indexed in reputable databases.
A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
Evidence of completion of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or exemption certificate, as may be applicable.
A PhD in the relevant discipline
A good First Degree (minimum of Second-Class Upper Division) from a recognized university.
